What data we collect

  Join/contact form: name, email, organization (optional), role, interest area, and optional message — stored to respond to your inquiry and manage participation in our programs.

  Cookies: we use essential cookies for language preference and cookie consent. Optional analytics are loaded only after consent and remain disabled when browser privacy signals such as Do Not Track are enabled.

Purpose of processing

We process personal data solely to: (1) deliver educational newsletters you opted into, (2) respond to contact and join-form inquiries, (3) coordinate participation in workshops and programs, and (4) remember your language and consent preferences.

Legal basis

Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — given when you subscribe to the newsletter or submit a form. Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — for essential cookies required for basic site operation. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter.

Data retention

Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe. Form submissions: up to 2 years after last interaction, or upon your deletion request. Cookie preferences: stored locally in your browser for 1 year.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port your data, and object to processing. To exercise any right, email info@unplugged.cz. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) at www.uoou.cz.

Third-party processors

Beehiiv Inc. (newsletter delivery, US — EU Standard Contractual Clauses in place). Convex Inc. (backend & form data storage, US — SCCs in place). Cloudflare Inc. (website hosting & CDN). No personal data is sold, rented, or shared for advertising.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when Unplugged is formally registered as an NGO. All changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
